This military issue model was redesigned in the 1970s with a gray horn rim.
At the time, the same model was manufactured to strict US government specifications by mainstream American brands such as AO and Bausch & Lomb.
Produced as a distribution model for the US Army.
This is the reason why there are many cases where the brand name written on the front and temples do not necessarily match.
This one has both front and temples.
This is a rare item made by USS.
The front is marked as 48/24 but the actual size is 46/24.
