An icon of AO, born in the mid-century from American Optical, a pioneer of American eyewear.
A luxurious deluxe version with a 12kgf (gold) frame and aluminum rims and temples that symbolize the space age.
We commissioned a lab in Burbank, the center of the film industry, which produces many of the sunglasses lenses used in Hollywood films, to create the lenses.
I had them finished with light khaki (20% density) lenses that go well with this frame.
*Deadstock in good condition.
The clear temple tips and nose pads have slightly discolored to amber after half a century of storage, but this is probably within the acceptable range.
This is a rare model that is rarely found in this condition.
