from the gray horn rims.
At the time, the same model was produced by
major American brands like AO and Bausch & Lomb
according to strict US government specifications
as a US Army issue piece.
This is the reason why many pieces are found
with front and temple markings that do not necessarily match.
This particular piece is a valuable example with both
the front and temples manufactured by USS.

We have installed light gray (15%) lenses that complement this frame,
prepared at a Burbank lab that handles many
sunglass lenses for movies and television.
It is a super-light tint that allows your eyes to be clearly seen by others,
making it suitable for indoor wear as well.
